9th,10th & 11th grade students for the fall term.
Due to the Corona Virus and the Bay Area Shelter-In, we are cancelling March's Information Session.
We hope to schedule future ones in late Spring but are adapting and adjusting daily to any new information on the virus.
Look to this space for any future dates. Until then, feel free to reach out to our Director John Muster at:
Below is our School Schedule before the Corona Virus impacted our lives. We will try to maintain the schedule as much as possible but changes will eventually need to be made. For instance, the Extraordinary Thailand trip is now cancelled.

MENTORING & CORONA
Starting with the week of March 16th, Mentoring Academy will be teaching its classes online with their students. Staff and Students have been briefed on using the Zoom software and other ways to check in such as email and Google Classroom.
Things are changing and, with the current Shelter-in order in place, the best thing for students to do is stay home. However, it is still important to maintain a schedule and work on assignments. There will be challenges but our hope is that measures taken now will help flatten the curve so we may resume classes in person in the Spring.
Be Safe. Be Healthy. Be Smart.
THAILAND TRIP CANCELLED
Mentoring Academy has been monitoring the numbers on the Corona Virus in Thailand and the USA for weeks. And while the number of cases in Thailand is now less than in the USA and we would be traveling to areas not infected, the volatility of flights and changing policy between both countries on whom they let in and under what conditions made it prudent that we cancel our trip. The travel landscape between the time we left and the time we were due to return could shift radically.
John Muster and the staff are discussing other options. Do we try for Thailand next year? Should we try for another place at the end of the school year if we can flatten the curve? Things are changing daily so, for now, it is important to hunker down and re-evaluate later.
THE GOOD EGGS FUNDRAISER
Update: With the Shelter-in and balancing social distancing with crowds at the grocery stores, perhaps this is a good time to try Good Eggs?
Support MENTORING ACADEMY when you shop! We’ve partnered with Good Eggs, a Bay Area grocery delivery service, to fundraise for Mentoring. When you try Good Eggs as a new customer, the school earns $25 and you get $25 off your first order.

BERKELEY REP: CULTURE CLASH
Before the Corona Virus began to cause a shut down of many businesses in the Bay Area, we were able to slip in our final visit to the Berkeley Rep to see CULTURE CLASH. Formed in the Mission District in 1984, this comedy trio use humor to discuss the issues of today. It was very enjoyable.
